Description
As Governance Head for Blockchain at UCI, you will be responsible for leading a team to use allocated tokens from different protocols to vote on proposals, helping to shape the future direction of these protocols. Through this role, you will gain experience in decentralized governance and will be at the forefront of decisions that impact the blockchain ecosystem.
Who we’re looking for
We're looking for driven individuals with experience in decentralized governance. As Governance Head for Blockchain at UCI, you will be responsible for leading a team to use allocated tokens from different protocols to vote on proposals, helping to shape the future direction of these protocols. You will also be leading a team in making voting decisions, so leadership and communication skills are also a must.
What you’ll do
- Utilize an allocated amount of protocol tokens to make informed decisions voting on proposals.
- Establish and manage governance forward relationships with leading protocols
- Lead a team of other governance members/researchers to research proposals.
- Research into various different protocols to provide analysis and gain knowledge on the world of decentralized governance.
- Get expenses sponsored/subsidized to exciting hackathons, conferences and other events (In the past has included LionHack in NYC, EthDenver in Colorado, and various conventions in LA)
- Receive exclusive member swag and drip.
- Attend our crypto career fair and network with industry professionals to get blockchain internships/jobs.
- Outreach and fillout applications for protocols to get allocations for tokens
Required
- Weekly commitment of ~7 hrs/week
- Flexible according to timing (i.e. midterms/finals season)
- Includes work done outside of meetings
- Previous experience in the Blockchain Space
- Can include community involvement, DAO experience, etc.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn blockchain technology!
